Suchus Stool

The Suchus Stool has its name from the Greek word for “crocodile”. It is finished with sustainable caiman leather of the Melanosuchus niger species. A cooperative in the Amazon raises the animals and tans the leather in an artisanal process. Their careful work strives to preserve the species. The whole process is conducted under the supervision and guidance of environmental agencies, such as the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation, the Biodiversitas Foundation, and the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources.
