Exhibitions
Starting in September 2025, Warsaw will host the exhibition Jorge Zalszupin: Warsaw – São Paulo – Warsaw, dedicated to the architect and designer who became one of the foremost figures of Brazilian modernist architecture.
Unprecedented in scope, this marks the first solo presentation of Zalszupin’s work outside Brazil. Visitors are invited to revisit his prolific career within the historic Villa Gawrońskich, a space that resonates with memory and origin. The exhibition offers a comprehensive panorama of his production, bringing together more than 25 pieces of furniture, 40 original drawings, and a curated selection of photographs. It is organized in partnership with the Visteria Foundation, founded by Kasia Jordan, responsible for the launch of Vogue Polska.

Curated by Guilherme Wisnik, Casa Zalszupin is pleased to announce the exhibition Ilusão Real:
According to Gestalt principles, the total perception we have of a set of objects is not the same as the sum of its parts. Gestalt Psychology understands the illusionist element that structurally governs our real perception. Here, Felipe Cohen’s works carry forward the potentialities created by geometric space.
A similar reasoning applies to the furniture of Percival Lafer, who works with evident geometries such as straight lines and semicircles, using both rigid and soft materials, creating a relationship between structure and seating in which the perception of the whole is different from the sum of its parts.
Ilusão Real brings together Percival Lafer, Felipe Cohen, Alfredo Volpi, Cildo Meireles, Judith Lauand, Mira Schendel, Waltercio Caldas, and Willys de Castro in an affirmation of the body and of concrete experience—illusory because it is real.

Curated by Ana Carolina Ralston, Casa Zalszupin is pleased to present the new exhibition:
Inner Landscape
Stitched together by the works of designer Etel Carmona, the exhibition brings together the perspectives of artists Alberto da Veiga Guignard and David Almeida with that of Etel. From this dialogue, lived and observed landscapes emerge through paintings, sculptures, and furniture that reconstruct the essence of Brazil's interior.
"The iconography of deep Brazil permeates Etel's work, from the blossoming of impatiens to the ox-drawn cart, always overlaid on dreamlike landscapes, scenes that were captured with praise by Guignard and David Almeida in the same regions," says curator Ana Carolina Ralston.
From June 27th to September 16th 2023
