PILAO TABLE

1998

The pestle (pilão, in Portuguese), an essential kitchen utensil in Africa, was what inspired Etel Carmona to create this table. One of the Pilao Table’s special features is a rotating center, with powerful gears that can bear significant weight. The piece combines unmatched practicality and beauty.
