Luna Armchair

Inspired by the Earth satellite, Luna was created in response to a request made by the most famous of all Brazilian architects: Oscar Niemeyer. In 1990, he contacted Carlos Motta and asked him to design and build a comfortable and stylish piece. The chair was to be placed in the Games Room of the Alvorada Palace – which was designed by the architect in 1957 to be the official home of Brazilian presidents.
