Medeiros Bench

2007

The Medeiros bench was originally a special project commissioned by the architect Ricardo Legorreta in 2007, for a house in São Paulo. The space was a hall with non-parallel walls and if the bench was rectangular, when a rug was placed, the careful geometry of the space was disorganized. The shape of the bench got the parallelism right without interfering with the architecture. This piece became part of the ETEL collection in 2022, with the exhibition Afinidades Eletivas curated by Claudia M. Salles at Casa Zalszupin.
