Triangular Dining Table

The Triangular Dining Table, officially reissued by ETEL and certified by Tenreiro Institute, was designed by Joaquim Tenreiro (1906-1992), and produced at the time by Tenreiro Móveis e Decorações (opened in 1953). The Triangular table is historically relevant because it broke with the colonial hierarchy of rectangular tables, so common in Brazil until the mid-twentieth century. The painted glass top enriches the aesthetics of the piece due to the color in counterpoint to the wood, as well as its discolored center contributes to the lightness, creating the illusion that the top is hollow.
