Ipanema Armchair

Wood and fabric are materials traditionally used in furniture making. Jorge Zalszupin used this combination in association with a cushioned wooden structure for the seat and backrest,finished with buttons in Brazilian rosewood; along with loose cushions and armrests in strips of stretched leather and details in Brazilian rosewood. In homage to the beach and to the romantic songs of Tom Jobim and Vinícius de Moraes, the designer called the piece the Ipanema armchair.
