Maneco Quindere

Brazil

Maneco Quinderé combined technique with intuition to create lighting projects that have dominated Brazil's cultural scene since the 1980s. A student of the masters Aurélio de Simoni and Luis Paulo Neném, the illuminator signs masterpieces for shows, concerts, ballets, operas, parades, exhibitions and partnerships with great architects such as Miguel Pinto Guimarães, Dado Castello Branco, Cadas Abranches, Arthur Casas and Marcelo Rosenbaum, in addition to the design and manufacture of luminaires. In each collection, pieces with functional outlines made from lightweight materials that allow infinite possibilities of weight, shape and texture; With them, Maneco tells his story through light, his most direct way of communicating with the world.

Light sources are his sources of inspiration, wandering between nature and the art world in a combination of minimalism and Brazilian, commercial and experimental; His work becomes unique when it comes to transforming the subjective into a concrete idea based on simple and precise lines.

His 30 years dedicated to lighting have made him one of the most respected professionals in the country: four Shell awards, three Mambembe awards, three Sharp awards, in addition to two Molière awards and an honorable mention from the Government of São Paulo for his brilliant legacy - without a doubt.
