PL 87 Armchair

The PL87, originally conceived as the MP-87, was sculpted from the idea of transforming an oval volume into an armchair. The intersection of pure geometric forms gives rise to a piece with a strikingly sculptural and unexpected character. Molded from a single block and finished in leather or suede, it rests on a steel base to which a fishing net is attached—a structural element that supports the seat and reinforces its experimental nature.

Percival Lafer’s collection began to be reissued in 2023 by ETEL, in close collaboration with the designer himself, who carefully reviewed the original drawings and construction details. The pieces formerly identified by the MP prefix were renamed using the PL designation. In 2025, the PL01 was officially reissued by ETEL.
