PL-81 Armchair

Designed by Percival Lafer in the 1970s, the PL-81 stands out within his body of work for its structural ingenuity: two joined fibreglass shells form a single rigid unit, supported by solid wood feet fixed with screw nuts. The adjustable rear feet allow for two configurations — with or without a headrest — giving the user control over recline angle and posture. It is one of the clearest expressions of Lafer's interest in technical innovation at the service of comfort. Produced in partnership with the designer and his family, this reissue updates the materials while preserving the original form, function and principles of the design.
